This is hands down one of the best and most raved about breakfast restaurants in Oklahoma City. If you're traveling through, you have to stop here. It's well worth the wait. Make sure to put your name in line on Yelp as it may be a few hours. The food is always incredible, staff is always nice, and you'll always leave so full.

Cafe Kacao was recommended to me about a year ago and each time was hard to get a seat, but after finally having the food, I know why! It was so tasty and the layout was cute and quaint! Service was fast and I felt like we were never forgotten about. My husband and I are always looking to try new dishes and this was the perfect place to add to our list of favorites! I also have to note that at each table there is holder for extra napkins and silverware -- such a clever idea and super efficient. We loved Cafe Kacao and we will surely be back!

Yaw KaKow! Ordered through UberEats today for a busy work from home day. Took a chance and ordered the Jamaica drink. A delicious purplish red hibiscus iced tea with a touch of sweetness. Refreshing and tasty! For my main I ordered the Cobanero Omlette with flour tortillas. It's stuffed with cheese & carne asada, topped with a mild pepper sauce and comes with a side of breakfast potatoes & black beans. Everything has such incredible flavor! Fished it off with a side of fried plantains which ended up being the best decision I've ever made. 12/10, cannot describe how good this place is, you just have to try it!!!

To Luis Escobar who left a 1 star review on 09/09/24. What other business are you allowed to go into minutes before closing and expect full service? Most stores announce "we will be closing in X amount of minutes." It's pretty comical to expect service when a business is about to close. That's the whole point of business hours. That's why you get there early enough to receive full service. It's funny you say you'll be taking your business elsewhere to Cafe Antiqua where you're greeted with smiles. You previously left a bad review for Cafe Antiqua that states different. Schedule your brunch in a more timely manner and don't expect people to bow at your feet because you show up as they're closing. We have been going to Cafe Kacao for years and yes they are always busy. We have always been greeted with smiles and hospitality from all workers. It's busy for a reason.

The food was delish! The Frijolada had such good flavor in the chimichurri sauce drizzle. The bed of rice with black beans and all the other veggies were perfect. I paired it with a side of plantains & ate every single one of them! Dessert was also a favorite here. The churros drizzled with Nutella were yummy too. The wait time for Saturday was 2 hours & worth the wait. Service was very good. We had everything we needed & requested. The ambiance was very tropical inside and out. Enjoy the mural outside it's just as vibrant as the food! I would eat here frequently regardless of how long the wait would be. It's worth it!!!

When in town to visit family we are staying at a downtown Airbnb and were seeking breakfast for our brood. I took to Yelp to find a spot that was interesting and new and where I knew my picky eater kids could find something to eat. Thankfully I found Cafe Kacao! I love that this restaurant boasts its Latin American menu and they sure do deliver! Everything from the coffee to even the butter was full of flavor that was familiar yet different. My kids shared their Hawaiian French Toast which was a new take on the classic. My husband enjoyed their Toastada Pabil appetizer (although the portions are easily shareable) and I had their Vaca Frito Papusas. I'd heard so many good things about Papusas and never had them before. Glad I tried them here because everything was delicious! We had quite enough to take a to-go bag back to our airbnb and can't wait! So, if you're in town be sure to stop by! You won't regret it!
